Cell Phones For Soldiers Holiday Phone Drive

25-Oct-2016

Burney Disposal, Inc. began partnership with Cell Phones for Soldiers in 2012 during the deployment of one of our employees, who served in Afghanistan for nearly a year. In his honor and in the honor of every service member, past and present, we continue to collect cell phones and accessories to send to this wonderful, non-profit program. Hundreds of old and broken cell phones from our employees and community members have been sent in over the past four years, earning thousands of dollars worth of phone cards for our men and women overseas. These cards create opportunities for servicemen and women to reach out to their loved ones and erases the distance between them, even if only for a few minutes. During the holidays, contact with friends and families becomes even more important for our brave service members. Our holiday phone drive begins Nov. 1 and we encourage you and your family members to search through drawers and boxes for old, forgotten phones that could make a huge difference in the lives of America's service members and their families. Bring phones and accessories to either of our transfer stations or to our office at 37484B Cornaz Drive in Burney. For more information about Cell Phones For Soldiers, click here.
